Moscow-born Asya Simon began painting as a child and formally studied painting and  graphic design at the University of Art and Design in Moscow from 2008 to 2013.

Seeking her own artistic voice, she explored contemporary art, particularly pop art, utilizing her classical training in color, composition, and drawing to develop a  unique style. Her process involves careful composition and sketching before painting, often incorporating photography and mixed media such as acrylics, oils, gels, varnishes, sand, and powdered glass.

In her portrait series, Simon emphasizes the eyes of her subjects to convey emotions like joy, tranquility, sadness, or melancholy, aiming to enhance their beauty and  express their individuality. Married in 2013, she has exhibited her work internationally, including in the US, Singapore, England, and China. Since 2016, she has lived near Tel Aviv, Israel, with her family and is represented by several galleries there.
