Lior Yahav

About.png

Lior  Yahav, born in 1973 to a Yemenite family of artists and artisans near  Tel Aviv, grew up surrounded by creativity. His family's dedication to  art, jewelry making, and painting deeply influenced him. After exploring  painting as a hobby in his teens, he embarked on a formal art education  journey in 1996 at Pau University in France.

Upon returning to Tel Aviv in  his early 30s, Yahav continued his artistic pursuits, studying at Ascola  College and later apprenticing under the renowned hyper-realist painter  Adam Gershoni. Gershoni's influence significantly shaped Yahav's  technical skills and artistic perspective, initially leading him to  focus on hyperrealistic painting.

However, Yahav's artistic style  has evolved over time. He has embraced a more expressive and free  approach, moving away from strict realism. His paintings now capture  fleeting moments and actions of people in public spaces, emphasizing  movement, light, and shadow. Through this evolving style, Yahav  continues to explore and express his unique artistic vision.
