Slava Brodinsky

About.png

Slava Brodinsky was born in 1955 in Birobijan, Eastern Russia. Recognizing his artistic talent at an early age, he was sent to an art high school, where his abilities were nurtured. After serving in the Soviet Army, Brodinsky returned to his hometown and continued his studies at the Fine Art Academy of Birobijan, graduating with honors in 1979. He then focused on monumental painting while also participating in exhibitions across the U.S.S.R.

In 1991, Brodinsky immigrated to Israel with his family, where the new light and color influenced his artwork. He frequently travels to Europe, particularly southern France, Tuscany, and Umbria in Italy, drawing inspiration from these regions. The views of Galilee in northern Israel also provide a continuous source of creative influence. Brodinsky's work is distinguished by its materiality, with the artist mixing color with sand, using rough brushes, and experimenting with light and shade to reflect the changing seasons. His paintings have been exhibited in numerous galleries in the U.S.A., Canada, France, Israel, and Japan.
